Abstract:

In his presentation, Dr. Tobias Kurth explores the imperative of implementing causal frameworks in observational studies. Focusing on causal inference and prediction, Dr. Kurth will highlight methodological requirements and potential biases associated with studies lacking a causal framework. The presentation will also include an illustrative example from animal experiments to emphasize the broad applicability of causal thinking. This talk aims to advocate for a causally-informed approach to enhance the rigor of several research domains.
